The groundbreaking ceremony for the Zhangjiagang Guotai Hilton Hotel project, a super high-end hotel project jointly developed by Guotai Group and Hilton Group, was held on Dec 31.
With a total construction area of 47,000 square meters, it will feature 273 international five-star standard guest rooms, two large banquet halls, and high-end facilities such as an intelligent fitness center, an indoor temperature-controlled panoramic swimming pool, and an executive lounge.
The main structure for the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026 and open for operation in the second half of 2027.
Zhao Mei, director of business development for Greater China at Hilton Group, said that Hilton will make use of its global operational system and digital service advantages, along with Guotai's experience operating local hotels, to elevate the project's quality and make it a new landmark of the city.
In recent years, Zhangjiagang has been developing a high-quality, efficient, and convenient living service system, attracting high-end hotels such as Marriott and Tonino Lamborghini and high-end retail stores like Sam's Club and JD Electronics & Appliances City Flagship, further enhancing the city's functional quality.
