Zhangjiagang's Fenghuang honey peach and Luyuan chicken have been listed in the 2025 third batch of National Famous, Special, High-quality, and New Agricultural Products.
The National Famous, Special, High-quality and New Agricultural Products refer to green, organic, and high-standard agricultural commodities produced within designated regions. These products are required to demonstrate a sufficient scale of production and market visibility, exhibit significant regional characteristics, possess unique nutritional qualities, achieve high public acknowledgment and reputation, and receive endorsement from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
Fenghuang honey peach
The Fenghuang honey peach industry park in Zhangjiagang now covers over 6,000 mu (400 hectares) of planting area, with an annual output of more than 9,000 metric tons and a total output value exceeding 100 million yuan ($14.24 million). In 2020, Fenghuang honey peach was recognized as a National Geographical Indication Product.

Zhangjiagang Luyuan chicken
The Luyuan chicken production area in Zhangjiagang has a mild climate, fertile soil, and abundant water resources. For a long time, local residents have used rich agricultural and aquatic by-products to raise the chickens, gradually developing this large-sized, tender, and flavorful chicken breed.
