The Zhangjiagang Science and Technology Innovation Conference was held from Dec 19 to 20, bringing together hundreds of representatives from universities, enterprises, and financial institutions.
More than 10 technological innovations were put on display outside the venue, including the Tianlong-3 rocket model and intelligent robots, showcasing the city's development of new quality productive forces.
During the event, Zhangjiagang launched a collaboration with Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), jointly establishing the Suzhou Scientific and Technological Innovation Institute of HUST.
The institute will focus on applied technology research and the commercialization of research outcomes in emerging fields such as innovative drug development, new energy storage for power systems, and high-end electromagnetic equipment.
Zhangjiagang also unveiled its Top 10 Industrial Sci-Tech Achievements and launched the "Rongchuang X" county-level integrated innovation application platform. Significant funding was also distributed to support enterprises in tackling key core technologies.
Additionally, the Zhangjiagang Investment Promotion (Wuhan) Center was unveiled and a batch of high-level platforms was established, including the Jiangsu Industrial Intellectual Property Operation Center and Zhangjiagang Chemical New Materials International Sci-Tech Cooperation Base.
