An original salon play by the Zhangjiagang Cultural Center made its debut at the 2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Theater Month, which took place at the Shenzhen Grand Theatre, on Dec 19.

The program consists of five independent yet interconnected short plays, delicately portraying timeless themes such as family affection, friendship, and interpersonal trust through a humorous and nuanced lens.

The play achieves seamless transitions through musical accompaniment, lighting design, and performances by mime artists, while incorporating interactive segments that break down the barrier between the stage and the audience.

Over the years, the Zhangjiagang Cultural Center has accumulated rich practical experience in grassroots cultural creation through its weekly performances. This trip to the Greater Bay Area is more than just a successful showcase of a flagship project, however – it also serves as a deep cultural exchange between the Yangtze River Delta region and the Greater Bay Area.
