The "3D Cloud Tour · Charm of Jiangsu" project was officially launched on Oct 24, alongside the opening ceremony of the "Cycling Through Scenic Yangtze River Spots · Feel the Charm of Jiangsu" event, on Shuangshan Island in Zhangjiagang.

Nearly 200 participants — including leading inbound travel agencies in Jiangsu province, cycling enthusiasts from eight Yangtze River cities, travel agencies from Australia and New Zealand, university cycling groups, and media representatives — gathered to witness the fusion of digital technology, Yangtze River culture, and outdoor cycling.

At the event, the new "3D Cloud Tour · Charm of Jiangsu" digital cultural tourism platform was unveiled. Built on virtual panoramas, miniature landscapes, and 3D animation, the project integrates Jiangsu's natural scenery, cultural heritage sites, traditional craftsmanship, and culinary icons into a virtual experience. Through its immersive and aesthetically driven "cloud imagery", the platform presents Jiangsu's nature, culture, cuisine, and lifestyle to global audiences, sparking emotional resonance and travel interest while further elevating the "Charm of Jiangsu" brand.

International travel operators, foreign crew members, and global competition athletes were also invited to immerse themselves in Jiangsu-style aesthetics, discovering new perspectives on life in China.

To increase global engagement and welcome international travelers with greater openness, Zhangjiagang launched its "Hi, Yangtze River" Inbound Tourism Month. The city released five recommended travel routes for foreign crew members and introduced a series of incentives:

-From October to November 2025, foreign visitors can enjoy free admission to all national A-level tourist attractions in Zhangjiagang by presenting their passports. They can also benefit from a 30 percent discount on inbound tourism packages booked through Ctrip.

The ceremony also featured the release of the official digital roadbook for the "Cycling Through Scenic Yangtze River Spots" initiative. Showcasing iconic riverfront landscapes across Jiangsu, the roadbook invites riders to explore the aesthetic essence of "Charm of Jiangsu" from the perspective of a cyclist.

The event then officially kicked off, led by former national track cycling athlete Wang Yibo, who joined 100 riders, members of the Australia–New Zealand travel delegation, university cycling teams, and travel influencers for a scenic ride around Shuangshan Island.

Family cycling groups from across the Yangtze River Delta region flocked to the island for family rides from 25 to 26, experiencing the relaxed charm of riverside Zhangjiagang. By integrating cultural and tourism resources along the Yangtze River, the event highlighted the vitality of Yangtze River culture and showcased a new "cycling + tourism" model — creating fresh consumption scenarios and offering a new template for culture–sports–tourism integration.
