The exhibition "The Kaleidoscope of the Yangtze River – The Billowing River and the Prosperous Jiangnan" opened at the Zhangjiagang Museum on Oct 24. Running through Jan 23, 2026, the exhibition is open to the public free of charge.
As one of the signature events of the 2025 Yangtze River Culture Festival, the exhibition centers on the Yangtze River itself, offering an informative yet visually captivating look at its lasting cultural significance. Structured in four thematic sections, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the civilization, ecology, and future prospects of China's longest river. With 159 relics and artifacts on display, the exhibit offers a compelling story of life and prosperity along the Yangtze over the centuries.
Following the opening ceremony, guests toured the exhibition, which immerses visitors in the natural beauty and cultural richness of the river through carefully curated displays.
Throughout the exhibition, Zhangjiagang Museum will offer interactive gallery games and youth-oriented educational activities, motivating visitors to become active participants rather than passive viewers — engaging with the history and culture of the Yangtze through hands-on learning.
