The Yangtze River cycling event, a part of the 2025 Yangtze River Cultural Festival, kicked off on Shuangshan Island in Zhangjiagang on Oct 24.

Nearly 200 participants — including leading inbound travel agencies from Jiangsu, cycling enthusiasts from eight riverside cities, travel agents from Australia and New Zealand, university cycling groups, and media representatives — gathered to celebrate the innovative blend of digital technology, Yangtze River culture, and outdoor cycling.

"The scenery is incredible — on one side, the mighty Yangtze River, and on the other, lush countryside," said An Ran, a travel influencer from Chongqing. "Cycling through such surroundings is pure enjoyment."

At the event, organizers unveiled the digital roadbook for Jiangsu traveling and the online cultural tourism project.

In a further step to expand international cooperation and attract global travelers, Zhangjiagang launched the "Hi, Yangtze River" inbound tourism month, introducing five recommended itineraries for foreign crew members docking in the city, complemented by various special travel incentives.
