The 2025 list of national-level specialized and sophisticated "little giant" enterprises has recently been announced, including 19 companies from Zhangjiagang. This achievement ranks the city third among all county-level cities in China for the number of new entries.
The "little giant' enterprises are high-quality small and medium-sized firms characterized by specialization, refinement, uniqueness, and innovation. They excel in niche markets, exhibit strong innovation capabilities and operational efficiency, and hold a significant market share in their industries. These companies form the backbone of China's advanced manufacturing sector and innovation-driven economy.
Looking ahead, Zhangjiagang plans to further refine its policy framework, reinforce tiered cultivation, and boost service support to cultivate a thriving ecosystem for "little giant" enterprises — nurturing a dynamic "tropical rainforest" of innovation and injecting strong momentum into the city's high-quality economic growth.
