Jiangsu New Victor Industrial Co, a national-level "little giant" enterprise, broke ground on its high-end intelligent equipment project in Fenghuang town, Zhangjiagang, on Sept 29, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan ($140.35 million).
The project will include the construction of high-standard industrial plants and supporting facilities, integrating advanced automated and intelligent production equipment along with cutting-edge information management systems. It aims to create a future-oriented, green, and efficient smart manufacturing base.
Once fully operational, the facility is expected to produce over 5,500 high-end textile machines and more than 165 precision metal processing machines annually, with an estimated annual output value of around 1.2 billion yuan.
Since setting up operations in Fenghuang town in 2019, Jiangsu New Victor has specialized in R&D and production of high-end textile machinery, while expanding its presence in both domestic and international markets. The company has made breakthroughs in mechanical transmission, automation control, and precision engineering, with several products achieving domestic substitution and reaching industry-leading standards.
Zhangjiagang boasts a comprehensive industrial system covering 33 major sectors, with over 17,000 industrial enterprises, including 1,700 enterprises above designated size. The city's industrial output above designated size has reached nearly 600 billion yuan. Driven by leading companies like Jiangsu New Victor, the high-end equipment manufacturing industry is experiencing rapid growth, becoming a key engine for the city's industrial upgrading.
