Zhangjiagang signed an investment agreement with ZF Asia Pacific Group to further localize its advanced smart chassis systems in China on Sept 22. Following the signing ceremony, three new products from ZF's Zhangjiagang plant — including an integrated brake control system, a rear-wheel steering system, and a steer-by-wire system — were officially launched.

Under the agreement, ZF will expand both the range and manufacturing capacity of its rear-wheel steering and steer-by-wire products to satisfy increasing domestic and international demand for advanced, high-performance driving experiences. The annual production capacity for rear-wheel steering will grow from 400,000 to 600,000 units, and steer-by-wire systems will increase to 380,000 units.

Since opening its Zhangjiagang plant in 2014, ZF has consistently initiated new projects, demonstrating its confidence in the city's business environment and its key position in ZF's worldwide strategy. Today, the Zhangjiagang site is ZF's largest manufacturing hub in Asia-Pacific and has earned the designation of a "global lighthouse factory".

Ahead of the signing, on Sept 21, ZF and Zhangjiagang jointly hosted a forum on cooperation opportunities in the new energy vehicle sector, further strengthening collaboration in the rapidly evolving automotive industry.
