Zhangjiagang launches Offshore Service Center

Zhangjiagang Offshore Service Center officially opened on Aug 28, marking the launch of a comprehensive platform aimed at tackling major challenges encountered by enterprises expanding globally. The center offers integrated, one-stop services along the entire supply chain to assist local companies in their international expansion efforts.

The center will offer six core services:

- Personalized local operation support through partnerships with leading domestic and international e-commerce enterprises.

- Streamlined customs clearance, tax rebates, and logistics services via a provincial platform to significantly reduce costs.

- Legal and financial solutions in settlement, financing, and risk management through collaboration with renowned law firms and institutions.

- Access to global logistics networks for more efficient and cost-effective cross-border transportation.

- AI-driven tools to empower marketing, product selection, and intelligent operations.

- A digital talent training system to incubate new e-commerce players.

In recent years, Zhangjiagang has stepped up its efforts to unify domestic and international trade. Between January and July this year, the city exported goods worth 89.8 billion yuan ($12.59 billion), marking a 10.2 percent increase compared to the previous year. Its total foreign trade now ranks among the top three in Suzhou. Notably, cross-border e-commerce imports and exports hit 1.65 billion yuan, a rise of 214 percent year-on-year.
