Zhangjiagang is making significant strides in advancing its digital economy by focusing on cutting-edge industries such as big data, artificial intelligence, and the industrial internet. By the first half of 2025, the city boasted 234 key digital economy enterprises above designated size, generating a collective revenue of 26.84 billion yuan ($3.75 billion).
Established in 2023, the Suzhou (Qianhai) Cross-Border E-Commerce Industrial Park in Tangqiao town, managed by D-Trading Tech Service Co, offers platform connectivity and talent development services. After just two years, the park has attracted 52 enterprises, achieving a transaction volume of 340 million yuan.
Additionally, Zhangjiagang Big Data Technology Co is actively involved in building a digital government, society, and economy through the "Digital Zhangjiagang" initiative. As the operator of the "Zhangjiagang Today" app, the company is spearheading projects in artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. The app has integrated 1,296 government services from 35 departments and connected over 160 public service applications across 16 categories, creating a shared ecosystem for smart city development.
Zhangjiagang continues to accelerate its digital transformation, focusing on key projects in the digital economy industry chain. The ongoing construction of the Smart Manufacturing Big Data Industrial Park and the Guotai Epoint Software Central Research Institute aims to address gaps in computing infrastructure and software and information technology services. These initiatives are set to lead a new wave of industrial growth, positioning Zhangjiagang as a burgeoning hub for digital economic expansion.
