The first China Professional Women's Youth Go Championship and the 2025 Tangqiao Town Go Festival commenced in Zhangjiagang on Aug 14. Over the course of four days, 40 young professional female Go players from across China will engage in seven rounds of intense competition.
During the opening ceremony, tournament uniforms were presented to representatives of the participating players. The event also marked the launch of Tangqiao town's "Go Month" and a series of themed activities, with August now officially designated as "Go Month" in Tangqiao.

Since the 1980s, Tangqiao town has been a fertile ground for Go, hosting 17 consecutive Go cultural events and frequently hosting the National Go League. Its efforts have left a lasting impact on not only the surrounding provinces and cities, but the entire nation.
