Jiangsu Tenpower Lithium Co, based in Zhangjiagang, recently announced the world's first 350 Wh/kg solid-state cylindrical battery that is set for mass production. This innovative battery is designed for a variety of applications, including robotic systems, low-altitude aircraft, and power-assisted bicycles. Full-scale production is anticipated to begin by the end of 2025.
A global leader in small-format cylindrical batteries, Tenpower's new product is built on its proprietary solid-state 60HES cell system. It features an in-house developed ultra-high-nickel ternary cathode and a low-expansion silicon–carbon anode. Through advanced materials engineering and structural innovation, the battery surpasses the 350 Wh/kg energy density threshold.

Performance highlights include high-rate charge — discharge capability to meet the instantaneous high-power demands of robotics and aerial devices, a cycle life of ≥800 cycles at room temperature, and stable operation across -10 C to 65 C.
The battery has passed rigorous safety certifications and completed safety validation with leading overseas clients, with mass production trials underway. Meanwhile, Tenpower is advancing its next-generation all-solid-state battery technology, aiming for over 500 Wh/kg energy density by 2027, marking another step toward industry-wide technological upgrades.
