The Gangcheng Tower Creative Park in Zhangjiagang opened its doors on July 9, turning an unused site into a lively center for culture and creativity.

Spanning 10,000 square meters, the park occupies the former China Telecom site, which had been vacant for several years after the company relocated. The redevelopment process was planned to blend preservation and modern design; the iconic telecom tower has been preserved, ensuring the site's historical significance remains intact. In addition to maintaining this historic structure, the project introduced 12 new standalone buildings, each designed to complement the existing landscape and serve various community and commercial purposes. This redevelopment has transformed the once abandoned site into a vibrant public space, revitalizing the neighborhood and offering residents and visitors a place to gather, relax, and enjoy a blend of history and contemporary architecture.

The park is on the verge of transforming into a vibrant cultural hub that will serve as a focal point for community engagement and artistic expression. It will host a diverse range of creative exhibitions showcasing contemporary and traditional art forms, providing a platform for local and emerging artists. Moreover, artisanal markets will feature handmade crafts, local produce, and unique goods, fostering economic support for artisans and small businesses. Trendy workshops will be designed to integrate art and craft into the everyday lives of visitors, offering hands-on experiences in painting, sculpture, photography, and other creative activities. This project exemplifies a blend of urban renewal and cultural development, combining commercial interests and tourism with a commitment to preserving the area's industrial heritage. The design aims to infuse the space with a sense of intimacy and vitality, encouraging community-driven involvement and fostering long-term cultural sustainability amidst the city's evolving landscape.
