The Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu recently released its list of Typical Application Scenarios for Embodied Intelligence Robots. Zhangjiagang had three standout projects selected, underscoring the city's increasing leadership in intelligent manufacturing.
Suzhou Rochu Robotics Co received recognition for its project "Flexible Smart Gripping to Solve Eight Key Production Line Challenges." Their robots are skilled at handling flexible, irregular, fragile, and damage-sensitive items, addressing eight common gripping issues faced in industry. The solution offers high efficiency, low cost, and easy adaptability, reducing surface damage and material waste, while increasing overall yield and lowering labor costs.
Zhangjiagang ASK Robotics Co made the list with its use of multimodal quadruped robots for industrial inspection. By partnering with top scholars and institutions worldwide, ASK Robotics has pushed forward research in control algorithms, AI, and robotics. The company is transforming industrial workflows by integrating AI and robotics, allowing intelligent, multimodal machines to carry out complex inspection tasks with agility and accuracy.
Zhangjiagang Urban Management Bureau tested a "5G Intelligent Patrol Robot" in Yangshe Old Street, a busy shopping district, setting an example for embodied AI in cities. The robot uses advanced technologies like 5G, artificial intelligence, and big data to patrol, detect, and identify urban management issues on its own, then transmits the information in real time to a central smart management system for action.
