Jiangsu Guofu Hydrogen Energy Technology & Equipment Co, a leading hydrogen energy enterprise based in Zhangjiagang, recently signed a strategic partnership with collaborators in Brazil. This agreement aims to advance green mobility development in Sorocaba through their joint efforts. The two sides are expected to collaborate on the deployment of modular hydrogen refueling stations to support the region's clean energy goals.
According to Sorocaba's green transport development plan, Guofu Hydrogen is poised to use its technological expertise to promote the rollout of containerized hydrogen refueling stations. Each unit is set to offer a production capacity of 100–200 Nm³/h and support both 35 MPa and 70 MPa pressure standards, enabling efficient hydrogen supply for urban logistics and regional transport fleets.
Tailored to local operating conditions, Guofu Hydrogen will drive innovation across multiple technical fronts — from modular station architecture to real-time digital monitoring of hydrogen fueling, ensuring optimized performance and operational safety. A dedicated R&D initiative will also focus on enhancing the continuity of electrolyzer operations, addressing localization challenges, and ensuring stable performance for long-term deployment.
The company plans to conduct pilot tests of fuel cell vehicles in the park to refine its solutions further and accelerate Sorocaba's development into a regional hub for hydrogen-powered transport.
Looking ahead, Guofu Hydrogen aims to establish a 1GW electrolyzer production capacity in Brazil by 2030. This partnership marks a key milestone in the company's global expansion and is set to play a pivotal role in advancing Brazil's transition toward clean, sustainable transportation.
