The Shuangshan Island Low-Altitude Integrated Application Pilot Zone was launched on June 18, marking a significant advancement in Zhangjiagang's efforts to establish a new benchmark in the low-altitude economy.
The project focuses on a variety of scenarios and is designed to create an innovation hub for the low-altitude economy in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Low-altitude + Tourism
Spanning an area of 15,000 square meters, the tourism segment will unfold in three phases, featuring helicopter landing facilities, a command center, and various commercial support services. This development aims to position the site as a new landmark for aerial tourism along the Yangtze River.
Low-altitude + Sports
The Xiangshan Mountain Paragliding Takeoff Site is set to begin trial flights in July, promising a fresh aerial sports and eco-tourism experience. Preparations are also underway to restart high-altitude skydiving programs at the flight base.
Low-altitude + Logistics
Regular operations of postal drones will streamline cross-river and inter-island delivery services, ensuring efficient logistics.
The launch of this pilot zone marks a key step for the Shuangshan Island-Xiangshan Mountain Tourism Resort, opening doors to emerging opportunities in the low-altitude economy. It serves as a model for blending ecological tourism with technological innovation. With "low-altitude+" as its core, the project will connect tourism, logistics, emergency rescue, and more, setting a high standard for the development of Zhangjiagang's low-altitude economy.
