The heavy-duty unloading cranes, produced by Wuxi Huadong Heavy Machinery Co, were transported to Zhangjiagang Port for assembly. Each crane measures 22 meters long, 47 meters wide, and 32.5 meters high, weighing 3,328 metric tons with a volume of approximately 201,600 cubic meters. The total shipment, valued at $30.94 million, underscores China's growing might in industrial exports.
Despite challenges posed by the rainy season, the Zhangjiagang Immigration Inspection Station collaborated with the terminal and shipping agents to devise a tailored operational plan. The station worked with customs and maritime authorities to streamline procedures, ensuring "zero wait" arrivals, immediate loading, and seamless departures. This meticulous coordination safeguarded the loading process under adverse weather conditions.
Moving forward, Zhangjiagang is committed to enhancing port services, refining navigation management for oversized vessels, and strengthening support for Belt and Road shipping routes.
