The Zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge hit a milestone on May 26 as its final beam soared into place at an altitude of 220m, kicking off construction on the upper tower.
As a vital link between Zhangjiagang in Suzhou, Jingjiang in Taizhou, and Rugao in Nantong, the bridge is expected to open to traffic in 2028, significantly reducing travel time among the three cities and accelerating the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region.
