The Dutch-flagged cargo vessel Bering Strait successfully completed the loading of 10 domestically manufactured MDI large modules and two supporting units at the Gangxin Terminal of Zhangjiagang Port on May 22. The shipment is now en route to Louisiana, the United States.

The exported cargo, produced by Zhangjiagang-based company Jiangsu Libert Inc Co, weighs a total of 7,171.56 metric tons, with a volume of 103,702.62 cubic meters and an estimated value of 650 million yuan ($90.25 million). This marks the final shipment of a major export project, following the successful delivery of two previous batches to the US client.

Facing challenges related to the large volume and complex structure of the equipment, multiple departments in Zhangjiagang coordinated closely to streamline procedures and reduce processing time, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Their joint efforts guaranteed seamless port clearance and safe vessel departure, highlighting the city's commitment to facilitating high-quality foreign trade.
