Zhangjiagang's Houchen subdistrict fair begins with folk culture and floral artistry

The annual temple fair and intangible cultural heritage carnival takes place from April 11 to 13 at the Shazhou Youhuang Cultural Park in Zhangjiagang's Houchen subdistrict, bringing vibrant traditional culture and lively performances to locals and tourists alike.

Attendees of the fair will have the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of activities, which include acrobatic performances, traditional dance exhibitions, lion dance displays, and live musical presentations. Furthermore, the cultural park's attractions, such as the water stage, wine cellar, and cartoon amusement zone, will be accessible for exploration.

Two floral-themed exhibitions add a special touch to this year's festivities. A bonsai exhibition will run from April 13 to 16, while a flower arrangement showcase will last from April 13 through May 5. These exhibitions gather award-winning florists and bonsai artists from across Jiangsu province to present horticultural traditions' artistic beauty and cultural depth.
