Seven enterprises from Zhangjiagang were recently selected for the 2024 Jiangsu Green Factory list, highlighting the city's progress in advancing industrial modernization through a sustainable manufacturing system.

A green factory is evaluated based on its commitment to eco-friendly production processes, incorporating green building technologies, renewable energy utilization, optimized resource allocation, sustainable procurement, clean production techniques, and waste recycling mechanisms.
In recent years, Zhangjiagang has actively encouraged enterprises to pursue green transformation. Through policy support, specialized training, supply-demand matchmaking, and financial incentives, the city has accelerated the low-carbon transition of its industries.
As a result, six enterprises have been recognized as national-level green factories, the Zhangjiagang Economic & Technology Development Zone has been designated as a national-level green industrial park, and Jiangsu Dongdu Textile Group has been listed as a national-level green supply chain management enterprise.
Moving forward, Zhangjiagang will continue strengthening its green manufacturing framework, leveraging the role of green factories as a foundation for the low-carbon transition of the manufacturing sector. The city aims to further integrate sustainability into industrial development, driving high-quality development.
