A record-breaking methanol-to-olefins (MTO) reactor, manufactured by Zhangjiagang's ZCM (Suzhou) Heavy Equipment Co, was successfully shipped to Guangxi province for Huayi Energy & Chemical Co's project on March 2, supporting the industrial development of the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone.

With a maximum diameter of 15 meters, an overall length of 45 meters, and a shipping weight exceeding 800 metric tons, this MTO reactor significantly surpasses previous industry benchmarks. The largest similar reactor previously had a diameter of just 8 meters and a length of around 34 meters.
Beyond its massive size, the reactor also breaks multiple industry barriers by streamlining the manufacturing process—reducing production time from the typical 11-13 months to just 7 months through innovative engineering. Over 90 percent of the reactor's components were sourced from local manufacturers in Zhangjiagang.
