During this year's Chinese New Year holiday (Jan 28 to Feb 4), Zhangjiagang's consumer market bloomed with renewed energy. The integration of culture and tourism fueled new momentum, delivering impressive results.

Local malls and commercial districts launched creative promotions and diverse activities, boosting consumer enthusiasm. Sales from 20 major retail and dining businesses reached 114 million yuan ($15.67 million), demonstrating strong market vitality.

Scenic spots blended intangible cultural heritage, traditional folk customs, and modern trends to present a variety of festivities, providing residents and tourists with an engaging cultural experience. Coupled with tourism product launches and subsidy programs, the city attracted over 300,000 visitors, generating over 10 million yuan in tourism and related consumption.

This highlights the robust demand for cultural consumption opportunities.

Meanwhile, the city's transportation sector ensured safe and efficient travel, with roads and railways transporting 414,000 passengers during the period.
