The growing high-speed rail network in Zhangjiagang has made it a preferred choice for many travelers. Mr Huang, a passenger from Shandong province, shared his experience, "Every year, I take the high-speed train to go home for Chinese New Year. It used to take over nine hours by bus, but now it's less than five hours. Reuniting with my family has never been easier!"
Festive decorations create a vibrant holiday atmosphere in Zhangjiagang Station. A lively market event also drew crowds, featuring calligraphy lovers who crafted traditional Spring Festival couplets and gave away "Fu" characters as blessings for travelers. Volunteers enhanced the atmosphere for waiting passengers by delivering a surprise New Year-themed flash mob performance, instilling a sense of warmth and joy during their wait.
