Zhangjiagang Manitowoc Crane Equipment (China) Co was recently designated as a regional headquarters by the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, the first of its kind in Zhangjiagang in the past five years.
Established in 1902 in the United States, the Manitowoc Group has grown to become one of the largest producers of engineered cranes in the world. In June 2004, Manitowoc Crane Equipment (China) Co was established in Zhangjiagang and has evolved into a regional headquarters for emerging markets in Asia, encompassing various services, including design, research and development, procurement, manufacturing, and sales.
In recent years, Zhangjiagang has prioritized the development of its headquarters economy. As of now, Zhangjiagang is home to 15 provincially recognized regional headquarters and functional institutions of multinational companies, including Dow, Honeywell, and Jotun.
