The Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu recently announced the second batch of provincially recognized specialized, refined, differential, and innovative (SRDI) small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for 2024. Among the newly listed companies, 41 are based in Zhangjiagang, bringing the city's total for the year to 82.

The SRDI designation highlights SMEs excelling in four key areas: specialization, refinement, uniqueness, and innovation. These enterprises focus on niche sectors within their respective industries, demonstrate advanced production and management processes, offer distinctive products or services, and showcase strong capabilities in independent and business model innovation.
In recent years, Zhangjiagang has prioritized fostering SRDI enterprises. The city has created a favorable environment for business innovation and development by enhancing policy, financial support, and services. This commitment has enabled more companies in Zhangjiagang to thrive within their specialized fields, contributing to the city's industrial advancement and economic resilience.
