Given the strict time requirements for the departure of large equipment, influenced by weather and shipping routes, Zhangjiagang Customs has introduced centralized customs declaration and advance declaration methods to simplify processes and ensure faster clearance of goods.
"We proactively communicate with companies to learn the necessary details related to their large and special cargo items, establishing a dedicated tracking and coordination system for key projects to promptly address any issues encountered during customs clearance," said Zhou Yucheng of Zhangjiagang Customs.
From January to November this year, the total export value of electromechanical products from Zhangjiagang reached 39.71 billion yuan ($5.44 billion), a year-on-year increase of 30.3 percent. Exports of automobiles, auto parts, and machinery saw particularly strong growth.
