Furuisi Medical Technology, based in Jinfeng town, Zhangjiagang, is accelerating the development of a general anesthesia surgery assistant robot, with deployment expected next year.

The company aims to invest 200 million yuan ($27.46 million) into comprehensive artificial intelligence (AI) solutions in the field of anesthesia. Its core product, the intelligent general anesthesia infusion system version 1.0, is currently in the registration phase and represents the first registered clinical trial of its kind in China. A production line for the system is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2025.

The surgical anesthesia field is currently facing significant challenges, including a shortage of anesthesiologists and varying skill levels among practitioners across different regions. AI technology can offer comprehensive monitoring and enhance the precision, safety, and effectiveness of anesthesia procedures. Once production of Furuisi Medical Technology's new system stabilizes, it is projected to achieve annual sales exceeding 600 million yuan within five years.

Jinfeng town will serve as the headquarters for the company's research and production activities. The new medical industry is a key focus for the town, with an emphasis on four sub-sectors: high-value consumables, aesthetic devices, medical equipment, and in vitro diagnostics. The town aims to become a national model for the new medical industry.
