Leigou cloth, a renowned intangible cultural heritage item from #Zhangjiagang, has been celebrated as a Jiangnan specialty since the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911). Today, through the integration of modern technology, this traditional craft is experiencing a renaissance.

In 2009, Zhangjiagang Jinling Textile Co began practicing Leigou cloth craft. The company has since collaborated with research institutes and universities to create new dyeing techniques. By preserving traditional methods and incorporating cutting-edge technology, they produce high-quality products from pure long-staple cotton dyed with natural plant dyes.
The company's baby products, made using the Leigou cloth craft, are vibrant in color, soft to the touch, and environmentally friendly.
"All our products are dyed with plant extracts, without the use of fixatives, formaldehyde, or fluorescent agents, ensuring they are safe for infants' skin," explained Wu Xiaolian from Zhangjiagang Jinling Textile Co.
In recent years, the company has successfully marketed its products through e-commerce platforms, demonstrating that traditional techniques can still thrive in the modern age.
