Zhangjiagang attracts talent through genuine commitment

This year, Zhangjiagang has been actively engaging with various universities to conduct recruitment activities, leveraging its development environment, talent policies, and cultural ties to attract high-end talent.

The county-level city has launched 42 talent recruitment programs at over 60 universities both in China and abroad. Other initiatives include cooperation forums, city promotion activities, and technological achievement matchmaking events. Since the beginning of this year, the city has organized 172 campus recruitment events, offering over 40,000 jobs.

Shi Chengfeng, Human Resources Manager at Jiangsu Shagang Group, reported that since September, the city has arranged for representatives of the company to visit over 50 universities nationwide. As a result, the company has received more than 3,000 resumes, including applications from individuals with doctoral degrees and higher.

To ensure that talent can settle in Zhangjiagang smoothly, the city has introduced 19 measures to support the development of young talent in the city, including housing, education for their children, and healthcare.

Furthermore, the city has established a team of talent service specialists to provide ongoing support for enterprises in financial services, recruitment, and intellectual property. These specialists regularly visit and survey enterprises to help solve development challenges.
