Zhangjiagang's farms are enhancing the quality and taste of their rice through eco-friendly cultivation methods and technological advancements, setting a benchmark for high-quality rice production and contributing to rural vitalization.
Over 90 percent of rice cultivated in Zhangjiagang currently consists of high-quality strains, and all large-scale farms have achieved full coverage of high-standard farmland.
A shining example is Huatian Family Farm, located in Jincun village, Tangqiao town. As one of the largest high-quality rice cultivation bases in Zhangjiagang, the farm has been promoting the development of ecological farmland in recent years. By adopting green and eco-friendly farming practices, the farm has reduced the use of fertilizers and pesticides, resulting in Jincun Rice that is clear, glossy, and retains its unique taste and aroma.
"We adhere to high-standard farmland development guidelines, applying organic fertilizers during cultivation and strictly managing fertilizer and water usage to control the amount of water. This promotes healthy rice growth and improves the quality of the rice," said Wu Jian, the owner of Huatian Family Farm.

Another exemplary case is found in Fenghuang town, where meticulous processing and scientific storage methods ensure the freshness of rice. Whether drying, storing, or processing, Fenghuang Rice is kept at low temperatures to eliminate the impact of high temperatures and preserve its quality.
Moreover, Fenghuang Rice follows the 'seven-day' principle, processing rice on demand. No more than seven days pass from the time the paddy leaves the warehouse to when it reaches consumers, ensuring the rice is fresh.
