Zhangjiagang is advancing high-quality rural development and promoting rural vitalization by integrating the low-altitude economy with agriculture, tourism, and logistics.

In Zhangjiagang's farms, drones are enhancing agricultural production efficiency and quality. With a single drone capable of spraying 15 mu (1 hectare) in just 5 to 6 minutes, they significantly boost work efficiency. Moreover, they are used to collect data, enabling precise management of fertilization, irrigation, and seeding throughout the farming process, thereby improving crop yield and quality.

The low-altitude economy is also being harnessed to boost tourism. In Donggang village, Nanfeng town, a general aviation company has been introduced to offer low-altitude tourism offerings such as helicopter sightseeing, flight experiences, and air shows. So far, these initiatives have attracted 15,000 visitors.

The integration of low-altitude economy with logistics has improved logistics in rural areas. Previously, mail and packages could only reach Shuangshan Island via ferry, creating logistical challenges that hindered rural development. The introduction of drone-based low-altitude logistics provides a new option for island deliveries, reducing delivery time by 20 minutes and cutting costs by 20 percent, greatly benefiting island residents.
