The Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently announced a list of pilot cities to develop future industry clusters. Zhangjiagang, a county-level city of Suzhou, has been designated as a pilot city for the hydrogen industry.

Future industries represent the long-term trajectory of technological and industrial advancement. Once fully developed and transformed, these sectors are expected to provide significant economic support and drive substantial growth.
Zhangjiagang is home to over 40 hydrogen enterprises, featuring a comprehensive industrial chain that focuses on hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and hydrogen fuel cells. Furthermore, hydrogen technology is being applied in various sectors within the city, such as public transportation, port operations, combined heat and power, and logistics.
