The reactors, which utilize the Davy Process Technology (DPT) licensed by Johnson Matthey, were independently designed and manufactured by Zhangjiagang Chemical Machinery. They feature one of the largest methanol outputs using the coal-to-methanol process, contributing to the clean and efficient use of coal in China.
The use of DPT in the development of methanol synthesis reactors demands high integration and conversion efficiency, setting strict standards for material selection, structural design, and manufacturing processes. Zhangjiagang Chemical Machinery has enhanced the technology to increase the capacity of the reactors, which accordingly increased the difficulty of the manufacturing process, demonstrating the company's impressive research and development capabilities.
