The 25th Beibei Cup Youth Football Competition opened on July 12 in Fenghuang town, Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province. Running through July 18, the competition is jointly organized by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF), Chinese Football Association (CFA), and Zhangjiagang government.

Since its establishment in Fenghuang town in 1983, Beibei Cup has become the most influential youth football event in China, having inspired numerous young people to engage in this sport. This year's Beibei Cup has attracted more than 300 players of 16 teams from around the country.

Shen Beili, vice-chairperson of CSCLF, addressed the opening ceremony. She said CSCLF will unite all sectors of society to support and promote Beibei Cup, contributing to the development of football in China.

The opening ceremony also witnessed the launch of the Zhangjiagang branch of the CFA (Suzhou) junior training center, which will focus on the cultivation of football talents.
