"Zhangjiagang has always regarded talent as its primary resource," said Han Wei, Party secretary of Zhangjiagang in his speech. The local government is building Zhangjiagang into a more innovative city, and has established a comprehensive service system, subsidizing top talent and teams with a maximum of 100 million yuan ($13.77 million) and 50 million yuan respectively. This initiative has attracted over 45,000 high-level talents to Zhangjiagang.

Han emphasized that the Zhangjiagang government will keep striving to create a first-class business environment, giving full support to innovation and entrepreneurship.

During the conference, the second phase of a talent fund and a new version of an initiative supporting talent-led companies in going public were launched. In the latter half of the year, 36 more such events are set to be held in Zhangjiagang.
