A warehouse club retail store owned by Walmart, the Sam's Club in Zhangjiagang boasts about 20,000 square meters of shopping space and more than 1,000 parking spots for members. It is expected to better cater to the high-end, diverse consumption needs of the citizens of Zhangjiagang and nearby cities.

Han Wei, Party secretary of Zhangjiagang, expressed hope for deeper cooperation with Sam's Club in the groundbreaking ceremony. The Zhangjiagang government will continuously work to create a first-class business environment to support construction projects and the development of corporations, he added.

Huang Jia'ning, vice-president of real estate at Walmart China, said the thriving economy, growing consumer demand, favorable business environment, and professional team in Zhangjiagang boost the company's confidence in its ability to better serve members and improve their lives.
