Deji sub-district in Zhangjiagang is recognized as a major production hub for core-spun yarn in China. At the end of last year, a high-end textile industrial park was completed and put into operation in the sub-district. Deji not only provides services in terms of facilities, property management, and preferential policies to the industrial park but has also drafted standards for recycled core-spun yarn to promote standardization.

Huayi Yarn, located in the park, invested nearly 100 million yuan in intelligent equipment. This investment has reduced manual labor by two-thirds, increased production capacity by one-third, and improved quality by 30 percent, according to company representative Zhao Li.

Textile enterprises in Zhangjiagang are also strengthening technological upgrades in energy conservation, emissions reduction, and the reuse of reclaimed water. Wu's Textile Dyeing and Printing Co Ltd has integrated advanced technologies to achieve zero wastewater discharge, with a treatment cost of just 10 yuan per ton of wastewater.

The Zhangjiagang Textile Industry Association acts as a bridge between enterprises and local government. It actively assists companies in voicing their concerns and facilitates industry-wide communication and interaction.
