Zhangjiagang to host four-nation basketball all-star challenge

Zhangjiagang is gearing up to host its Four-Nation Basketball All-Star Challenge on July 13 and 14, featuring teams from the Jiangsu Dragons Basketball Club, the Cuban National Men's Basketball Team, the Baltimore Hawks from the United States' ABA professional league, and Italy's National Men's Basketball B Team.

The Jiangsu Dragons Basketball Club, established in 1995, has found success in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) since its inaugural season, finishing eighth in the 2018-19 season.

The Cuban National Men's Basketball Team, established in 1948, boasts an impressive historical record, including a third-place finish at the 1972 Munich Olympics, sixth place at the 1980 Moscow Olympics, and fourth place at the 1974 FIBA World Cup in Puerto Rico.

The Baltimore Hawks, a renowned team in the American Basketball Association (ABA) professional league, currently ranks third. Key players include Jordan Hill and Langston Galloway, both former NBA players.

Italy's National Men's Basketball B Team consists of top-level professional players selected by the Italian Basketball Federation from various professional clubs.

The upcoming tournament promises thrilling matchups and showcases the diversity and talent in international basketball. It serves as a platform for cultural exchange and sportsmanship, highlighting Zhangjiagang's growing role in global sports events.
