Kecai New Energy Technology held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new smart equipment components project on June 19 in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou.
With a total investment of 380 million yuan ($52.33 million), the project will focus on producing hydrophilic aluminum foil, heat exchangers, and sheet metal, which are widely used in emerging industries such as new energy, big data, and energy storage. Once fully operational, the project is expected to achieve an annual output value of 720 million yuan.
Jiang Yadong, chairman of Kecai, highlighted that this project marks a strategic shift for the company from being a supporting enterprise to becoming an independent terminal enterprise. He praised Zhangjiagang for its supportive services and first-class business environment.
Han Wei, Party secretary of Zhangjiagang, emphasized that in recent years, the city has prioritized the development of the new energy industry. It has attracted numerous leading enterprises and flagship projects, creating a comprehensive industrial chain with upstream and downstream integration.
