A cargo ship carrying three quay container cranes, overseen by the Zhangjiagang maritime bureau, recently departed from Zhangjiagang for Malaysia and Indonesia.

The shipment included two 1600-ton/hour unloading cranes and one 1500-ton/hour loading crane, with a total cargo value of 61.84 million yuan ($8.52 million) and a total weight of 2460 tons. Quay cranes are specialized cranes used for loading and unloading container ships. These cranes, characterized by their automation, flexibility, and efficiency, play a crucial role in the shipping industry.

To ensure the safe and efficient transport of this cargo, the Zhangjiagang maritime bureau implemented customized measures to guarantee the vessel's seaworthiness. Since the beginning of this year, the bureau has facilitated the export of major equipment from this port to countries along the Belt and Road on 118 voyages, with a total cargo value of 11.4 billion yuan.
