The 2024 International Shooting Sport Federation World Cup was held in Munich, Germany from June 2 to 7. In the men's 10-meter air rifle event, Sheng Lihao, an athlete from Zhangjiagang, delivered a stellar performance, securing the top spot in the qualifiers with a score of 635.4 points.
Sheng continued his dominance in the final on June 3, where he set a new world record with an impressive score of 254.5 points, clinching the gold medal. This victory means Sheng now holds both the qualification and final round world records for this event.
On the same day, Sheng, paired with Huang Yuting, led the Chinese team to victory in the 10m air rifle mixed team event. The duo also set a new world junior record for the event.
With these triumphs, Sheng has concluded his international competitions before the Paris Olympics and will now focus on preparing for the Games with full dedication.
