A delegation from Zhangjiagang, Suzhou embarked on a mission to Europe from April 3 to 10, aiming to foster business relationships and engage in cooperation discussions.
On April 9, the Zhangjiagang government held an economic and trade cooperation promotion event in Zurich, Switzerland. Over 30 representatives from the Swiss-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Swiss businesses participated in the event. Discussions primarily revolved around furthering cooperation between Switzerland and Zhangjiagang, particularly in terms of Swiss investment in the city.
As a crucial economic and trade partner of Zhangjiagang, Switzerland boasts advanced industrial economy and products of superior quality. The country exhibits strong international competitiveness in sectors such as mechanical manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and textiles, offering ample collaboration prospects for Zhangjiagang.
The Zhangjiagang delegation also attended the "Invest in China" special session in Germany organized by China's Ministry of Commerce, where they visited headquarters of prominent companies such as Wacker Chemie, Merck Electronics, and Bertschi. Progress was made in advancing several ongoing and upcoming projects.

Many enterprises expressed optimism about Zhangjiagang's business environment and investment policies, indicating their intention to conduct further investigations and invest in Zhangjiagang in the future.
