Nine high-quality sci-tech projects based in Beijing signed contracts with the Yantze Metallurgical Industrial Park (YMIP) in Zhangjiagang on Feb 26.

With a total investment of 1.56 billion yuan ($ 216.68 million), these projects span across various industries including advanced manufacturing, intelligent equipment, high-end medical devices, and biosafety. Not only do they possess strong market competitiveness, but they also align closely with Zhangjiagang's industrial layout.

Han Wei, Party secretary of Zhangjiagang, emphasized that the county-level city in Suzhou is promoting new industrialization. It is accelerating the development of five 100-billion-yuan industrial clusters, encompassing metallurgical new materials, advanced polymer materials, high-end textiles, and new energy, with an overarching goal of pushing GDP beyond the 400-billion-yuan mark.

The Zhangjiagang government is committed to facilitating development and creating a first-class business environment by optimizing policies, markets, government services, legal systems, and cultural support, Han added.

YMIP, an important part of Zhangjiagang's industrial economy, has established research facilities for new materials, intelligent equipment, and medicine, along with a 1.5-billion-yuan fund, to provide robust support for local companies.
