Madam Chen, a resident of Zhangjiagang, expressed, "It is common for Chinese people to celebrate the New Year by pasting couplets and hanging fu (福) characters. It's a sign of good luck."
Zodiac-themed gifts, crafts, and toys, all related to the Year of the Dragon, are also popular items in anticipation of the impending celebrations.
