On Dec 29, membership retail chain store Sam's Club launched its first warehouse in the Zhangjiagang Economic Development Zone. Residents of the downtown area of Zhangjiagang, Suzhou now can purchase a wide array of products online and enjoy "one-hour express delivery" service.
According to Li Xiaojian, general manager of Sam's Club in Suzhou, the Zhangjiagang warehouse currently stores over 1,000 types of high-demand products, including fresh produce, maternal and newborn products, personal care products, and dry goods. High-end consumer goods like imported fruits and drinks are also available, as the demand for them is about to surge during the upcoming Spring Festival.

He added that Sam's Club plans to expand its service range based on the performance of the warehouse.
To date, Sam's Club has opened 47 stores in 25 cities and hundreds of warehouses in China.
