A vibrant display of traditional folk culture unfolded as a fair, which is part of the 2023 Yangtze River Culture Festival, was held in Zhangjiagang from Oct 19 to 22.
The fair was aimed at showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the 13 provincial-level regions along the Yangtze River. It was structured around four themes: local culture, specialties, folk performances, and recreational activities.
From traditional crafts to regional delicacies, the fair offered a diverse space that combines aspects of markets, shopping hubs, experiential zones, and performance venues. Fair-goers had the opportunity to explore and learn about the cultures of the Yangtze River Basin in a comprehensive manner.
