During this year's China International Import Expo from Nov 5 to 10, more than 200 companies and over 1,000 people from Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province registered to attend, engaging in fields such as metallurgy, chemicals, textiles, machinery, electrical engineering, biomedicine, and new energy.
Honeywell, a globally-renowned high-tech corporation and a Fortune 500 enterprise, has established an integrated production base and an engineering technology R&D center in Zhangjiagang.
At the expo, Honeywell showcased a range of sustainable and digital innovation technologies and products in the fields of aviation, smart buildings, intelligent factories, health, energy storage, and new energy vehicles.
"Our exhibits are directly related to Zhangjiagang. Many of the process technologies were developed by personnel from the Zhangjiagang R&D center, and the catalysts are produced in the Zhangjiagang factory," said Yu Feng, president and dean of Honeywell's Smart Low-Carbon Building Research Institute in China.
Dow Chemical, located in Zhangjiagang, is funded by Dow, a Fortune 500 company and a leading player in the global chemical industry. The production base has been operational since 2002 and covers an area of 1.4 million square meters, making it Dow's largest integrated production base in the Greater China region.
At the expo, Dow focused on five key areas: circular economy, new energy, consumption upgrading, green buildings, and low-carbon transformation. They brought nearly 50 innovative material science solutions, of which 11 were premiered globally, in the Asia-Pacific region, or in China.
"Many of our products, including organosilicon and high-performance silicone, are produced in the Zhangjiagang factory," said Zhu Hongbo, sales director of Dow Chemical (China).
